Obama's New Cadillac Limo Officially Unveiled

There's little time left until Barrack Obama's inauguration as president of United States. But as we have already told you, the day of his inauguration will also mark the debut of his so much debated Cadillac presidential limousine.

Cadillac has kept a tradition to supply the US presidents along the time with elegant luxury safe limos, but this time the presidential vehicle is extremely special. We have already given you some details about how the “Beast” looks like (you probably remember that's how the Secret Service have called it) and now Cadillac has come out with a full press release, albeit not with as many techs specs - read none - as we would have wanted.

Probably the safest limo on Earth, Obama's new Cadillac contains many of the brand’s signature design elements. The cabin combines modern design and technology with old-world craftsmanship as major aspects of the interior have been cut and sewn by hand. The rear passenger area contains an extensive executive compartment with ample seating space, outside visibility and mobile office features.

More importantly, the vehicle has been tested by specialists to ensure the performance and the safety features expected.

Obviously, many aspects of the vehicle were especially designed for presidential purposes. An embroidered presidential seal is placed in the center of the rear seat back panel and on each rear door trim panel. The US flag is situated on the right front fender, while the presidential standard will be positioned on the left front fender when the president travels in the vehicle. In addition, the flags are illuminated by LED spotlights at night.

“Cadillac is honored to again provide a new Presidential Limousine,” said Mark McNabb, North America vice president, Cadillac/Premium Channel. “This is a great American tradition that we’re delighted to renew with an all-new car featuring the best of Cadillac’s dramatic design and technology.”

Of course, we can't wait to see the first photos with Obama and his new limo, so be sure we'll share them with you the moment we get our hands on the pics.
