The answer comes from the project we want to discuss today. It all started last year, with British aftermarket developer Oakley Design announcing a 1,600 hp Veyron with a carbon body.

The build is now complete, so can you hold something against a Veyron that gained 200 hp and lost 50 kg (110 lbs)?

While such an answer is quite predictable, we'll give you the good old "it all depends on where you stand." Let's start with the Bad and the Ugly, so we can move on to the Good.

When we first heard about a 1,600 hp Veyron, we were a bit skeptical, but still wanted to see what happens when a tuner decides to open up the Veyron's W16 box.

Instead, we got an ECU remap. Despite this being an elaborate effort from JF Automotive, we still can't get over the difference between the promise and the result.

As for the visual side of the story, the exposed carbon and the high-quality work have to fight the sheer flashiness of the project. However, the screaming appearance of this Dubai-registered Veyron shouldn't come as a surprise, at least not if we take into consideration the way in which its owner has customized one of his other cars. We're talking about the man's Lamborghini Aventador, which is a mix of the Liberty Walk, Tron and Chrome approaches.

However, with an output of 1,200 hp and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft), this Veyron has the specs to back up its vocal stance.

Oh, and let's not forget that its carbon full body armor has been tweaked in the MIRA wind tunnel.

In the end, it's nice to see a Veyron that feels young again. One whose W16 grown might just be the loudest in the world, as you'll be able to find out in the second clip below.

Update: The custom incarnation of the Veyron has already been spotted in London.
