NYIAS 2011: Jaguar XJL Supersport

If you’re going to use a luxurious transportation means, go for the “all in” approach and choose the long wheelbase version. This was exactly what we were thinking about when we saw the 2012 Jaguar XJL Supersport waiting for us to get down and dirty (photo) shoty with it.

The 2012 model year has brought a series of subtle refinements for the interior of the vehicle, which include goodies such as a new Rear Comfort Pack that offers electric adjustment for the rear seat backrest recline angle, four-way lumbar support and a massage function.

Customers can choose between six exclusive interior colors, each bringing a complete leather headlining. As we are talking about a vehicle that can be entered in the “creme de la creme” category, you can also select one of the six available veneers: Rich Oak with Linear Laser Inlay (standard), Rich Oak with Linear Laser Inlay (standard), Figured Ebony with Ribbon Laser Inlay, Satin Zebrano, Walnut Curl, Carbon Fiber and the classic Piano Black.

We have to tell you that the “Supersport” designation isn’t just marketing, as it means that under the hood you’ll find a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 unit that uses direct injection and delivers 510 hp.
