Muscle cars have always been a show-stopper and this year’s New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is no short on such attractions. Though some can’t get enough of the fastest Camaro ever, the ZL1, visitors are likely to get stuck in a special area dedicated to a Bumblebee that is being displayed “as seen in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie”.

Based on the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, Bumblebee has gone through some changes, this vehicle mode featuring a new body kit and paint job. Naturally, the Camaro is accompanied by its ‘transformed’ autobot version, which now looks more mature.

Sadly for all Transformers fans, aside from the fact that it will no longer have Megan Fox in the cast, this third movie is also the last. According to what is known so far, the new movie deepens the ties the Transformers have with our planet and its history.

Bay will take viewers into the dark corners of the USSR-US cold war, where apparently a hidden Transformer lurked and directed the space race between the two superpowers.

The sequel to Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, also dubbed ‘The Dark of the Moon, will come in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D on July 1st, 2011.

On October 11, 2010, while filming a chase scene at 3rd Street and Maryland Avenue, SW, a Washington DC Metropolitan Police K9 Unit SUV struck the Camaro that portrays Bumblebee in the film. The area had been closed off by the DC police, and it is not clear why the SUV was there. Both drivers were uninjured, but the Camaro was severely damaged.
