Nurburgring Record Setting Viper Spotted

The Nurburgring Nordschleife is arguably the most popular and also the most demanding track for setting a fast lap. Having a top contender there instantly translates into respect from your fellow automakers and sales from customers.
Forget about the Gumpert Apollo and the Radical SR8, the production car with the fastest lap around the Nurburgring is a 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR, which blitzed the track in 7 minutes 12 seconds (7:12:13 to be more precise). This scarcely believable time was done by Dominik Farnbacher in the 600 horsepower car which you see right here.

The ACR is relatively stripped out compared to a your average car, but unlike the Radical that defeated it, it still have powered windows, a radio and air conditioning. It also proves that American cars aren’t all slower than European ones.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
