The Novitec Group is that type of tuning shop which is more focused on performance rather than glitzy paint jobs or fancy interiors. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider is proof of that.
As standard, the Ferrari 488 Spider is one of the best open-top cars in its segment. Other than the millions of blue sky above your head, this Prancing Horse prides itself on a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 670 PS (661 horsepower) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of badassery. The result of those engine specifications is a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) run of 3 seconds dead, and on to a top speed of 203 mph (327 km/h).

When Novitec Rosso gets its hands on the Ferrari 488 Spider, chaos ensues. Without any kind of tinkering with the guts of the engine, the German tuner has managed to squeeze 772 PS (761 horsepower), as well as a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat-beating 892 Nm (658 lb-ft) of torque. The more pressing question is, how did Novitec do it?

Believe it or not, an “upgraded engine management software” and a “high-quality exhaust systems” available in ultra lightweight Inconel did the job. And so, top speed now stands at 212.5 mph (342 km/h), which I’m told it’s adequately fast. The additional grunt also cuts down on acceleration time, as in 2.8 seconds to 62 mph (100 km/h).

But power alone doesn’t make up for a great driving experience. To cope with the extra ponies and pound-feet, Novitec Rosso garnished the Ferrari 488 Spider with go-faster suspension components, alloy wheels, and tires. An aerodynamic package made from carbon fiber is also in the offing, all in the name of maximum form and function.

Last, but certainly not least, the Novitec Rosso tuning program for this force-fed Cavallino Rampante “is completed in the cockpit, where a wide range of products are offered in carbon fiber.” Unfortunately for the curious among us, Novitec Rosso hasn't mentioned how much this tuning program costs.
