Some people are so competitive that they like to brake their own record just for the fun of it. This kind of philosophy is apparently used by the Novitec Rosso tuner, who has released a new complete tuning program for the Ferrari California.

The fresh kit brings the supercar’s 4.3 liter V8 powerplant to 606 HP (at 7,900 rpm) and 603 Nm of torque (at 5,500 rpm), surpassing the modification pack released by the tuner at the end of last year, which squeezed 500 HP out of the engine.

The new figures have been achieved through the use of a supercharger that delivers a 0.4 boost pressure. The unit has also received a water-to-air intercooler, a special intake manifold, larger fuel injectors and a custom exhaust system - this features a system that allows the driver to control the intensity of the sound. All the elements are coordinated by a new ECU software.

The wave of power and torque pushes the supercar past the 100 km/h mark in 3.8 seconds and continues to offer acceleration until the vehicle reaches 325 km/h. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari California rides on NF3 wheels: 21 inch for the front axle and 22 inch for the rear one. These are wrapped in a set of Pirelli tires that have been tailored for the car (244/30 for the front wheels and 315/25 for the rear ones). The California’s suspension has been adapted for this tire/rim combination: the car sits 35 mm closer to the ground and uses a hydraulic lift system that can raise the front end by 40mm.

The tuned creation is dressed in an aerodynamic package, comprising of a front spoiler, rocker panels featuring airfoils, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser and discreet boot spoiler. Novitec Rosso offers bespoke interior changes using materials such as leather and Alcantara, that come in a wide range of colors.
