Novitec Rosso will shock Geneva with 888 Prancing HorsePower, as the Italian tuning company has been playing with the Ferrari 599 GTO, a vehicle that enters the performance stratosphere the second it leaves the factory.
We don’t want to keep you waiting, so we’ll start with the engine mods. The V12 powerplant has been fitted with a twin-compressor system, a large water-to-air intercooler with a dedicated water circuit, performance air filters a custom intake manifold, a custom exhaust system that comes with sound-adjusting function, as well as high-performance injectors, with all the goodies being managed by a new ECU map.
The unit, which delivers 670 hp and 620 Nm in factory stock form, now offers 888 hp and a maximum torque of 862 Nm. This allows the superbeast to cover the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 3.2 seconds and play the 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) game in 9.1 seconds. As for the top speed, this sits at over 211 mph (340 km/h).
The vehicle rides on Novitec Rosso NF4 rims (front: 21-inch, rear: 22-inch) that use Pirelli PZero tires (front: 295/25 and rear 335/25). The tuner has also installed a set of sport springs that bring the car closer to the road, as well as a front axle lift system, which raises the nose of the vehicle by 40 mm.
The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTO is dressed in a bespoke racing-inspired livery and can come with multiple custom interior features in order to suit every customer's taste.
autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
