Novitec Ross Ferrari 458 Spider

The Ferrari 458 Coupe is an awesome piece of design and engineering and the Spider version is 10% better due to the sensation of driving a stiff open-top supercar and being able to hear the engine properly.

Novitec has endowed the 458 Spider with a body kit (previously used on the coupe) which includes a new front splitter, door-sil skirts, a new rear diffuser and either a rear spoiler lip or a full rear wing. The look is completed by the smoked rear lights and 3rd brake light and a clear-coated carbon fiber engine cover. All of the modifications really tie in well with the overall design of the car and suit it nicely.

When it comes to rims, they’ve used Novitec Rosso’s new NF4 ultralight wheels (21-inch front/22-inch rear) which are covered in thin coating of Pirelli P-Zero rubber. The car also sits 35mm lower and now features hydraulic ride-height adjustment, for getting over kerbs and speed-bumps.

Engine modifications have been kept to a minimum, the car benefiting from a new Inconel (nickel-chromium-based super alloy) exhaust system which weighs 21 kg (45 lbs) less than the standard setup. Factor in the remapped ECU and we have a grand total of 609-hp at 9,100 rpm.
