Some things will never change, and people with zero motorcycle training, wearing no protection will always find it suitable to try and ride a scooter or small motorcycle, especially when encouraged and helped by other willing fellows, at least as silly, to say the least.
In fact I believe that guys in their right minds and who properly value safety and health would not provide such “help” to their non-riding peers. That is, they should know that riding a two-wheeler without protective gear is both illegal and exposes the rider to unnecessary risks. Even more, having the untrained rider wannabes making their first attempt on an uneven road full of rocks or in the confined space between some garages is a really bad idea.
Some of my buddies laughed and argues that the narrow runway was a saver in this particular case, as the lady veered into the wall pretty soon and thus put an early end to her ride. In case she had a wide, open road ahead, she’d most likely have reached a much higher speed, given her whiskey-throttle skills.
Obviously, crashing at a higher speed would have caused extensive injuries, as slippers and skirts are hardly a compensation for a helmet, better shoes or gloves, if not even trousers and a jacket. Aside the "I have no idea whi do aput a up metalhead's horns-up" gesture, I bet she’s not in the Russian SBK now…
