Aftermarket, high-performance exhausts come with increased gas flow, reducing the pressure in the exhaust duct, and causing the engine to let go more unburnt gasoline, which ignites inside the hot canisters. The result is similar to what a jet fighter exhaust looks like... but missing the thrust altogether.
All that happens is completely unnecessary heat build-up and flames. This can damage the bike's looks and will also cause engine failure if not addressed properly.
