As the Los Angeles Auto Show is approaching fast, automotive producers from all around the world are preparing to capture the public’s attention by offering the products that best follow the current trends of the market.
As the customers are now orientated towards eco-motoring, Mitsubishi announced that it will host the world debut of the North American version of the i-MiEV electric vehicle at the event, which is scheduled to run at the Los Angeles Convention Center, between November 17 and 28.
Compared to its Japanese and European siblings, the North American incarnation of the i-MiEV comes with a more generous body that offers a superior interior space. The vehicle also comes with a refreshed design and offers a wide range of standard features.
“The North American version of the i-MiEV, in comparison to the Japanese- and European-spec i-MiEVs, features an enhanced, enlarged body structure to secure plenty of space for four adults and better meet the expectations of U.S. consumers. In addition, the North American-spec i-MiEV's front and rear bumpers are all-new. Airbags that detect passengers and control deployment force, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Active Stability Control (ASC) are all standard equipment,” stated the press release.
In addition to that, the Outlander Sport compact CUV, which uses the RVR name in Japan and is called ASX in Europe, together with other vehicles will be displayed at the show. The Outlander Sport is scheduled to arrive in North American showrooms by the end of the current year.
