Even though some people aren't on best terms with cars that look much faster than they really are, the aftermarket design business is still a very lucrative market.
This is probably one of the reasons that led Mercedes-AMG to launch yet another batch of aftermarket accessories for the recently facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLA.
Another reason would obviously be brand awareness, with the boys and girls in Affalterbach probably wanting to seed a few more future AMG customers out of current Mercedes-Benz owners.
For the moment, only CLAs that are already fitted with the AMG Line option from the factory are ready to receive the new AMG goodies if their owners desire too. There are no less than four attachments for the bodywork, which are accompanied by a couple of “sporty” side stripes.
In case it wasn't obvious by now, none of these aftermarket mods will result in extra performance, unless your brand-spanking new CLA is about to enter a beauty contest.
In short, the new components consist of an AMG front splitter, side sills attachments, a rear fascia molding with an aerodynamic diffuser look, some “additional rear flics” and the “sport” stripes we mentioned before.
To sweeten the deal for those interested, Mercedes-AMG has also made available a set of new wheel hub covers, which should already be available at authorized sales outlets. As expected, they replace the standard wheel hub covers and depict the Mercedes-AMG badge, which consists of a tree by a river (Affalterbach means “apple tree by the creek” in old German) and a cam lobe, valve and a valve spring that symbolize AMG's experience in engine manufacturing and racing technology.

Since the aerodynamic parts are high-gloss black and pretty much bolt on (or stick on, in the case of the stripes), Mercedes-AMG makes it sound as there will be no additional expenses required for installing them.
