Nokia patent filing
In the modern age, an age where you can buy a perfectly justifiable touch-screen fridge, apparently Nokia don’t want to be following in the footsteps of the now-defunct Kodak brand, so they’ve decided to diversify their range of products, apparently.
In a recent patent filing, Finnish handset-makers Nokia have shown us that they are actually interested in the automotive world, as they have filed a patent for a steering wheel which is touch-sensitive (or rather, ‘tap-sensitive’) and it could do away with many of the buttons that clutter up the steering wheels of most modern cars.

Other than the fact that the patent has been filed, not much information is available, but considering the fact that Nokia has contacts in the auto industry, via Ford for which they developed Bluetooth units, we may see such a system applied on a car sooner than we think.
