It’s is virtually unbelievable the amount of power tuners can seemingly get out of the new S55 engine from BMW. It would seem like the German engineers from the Motorsport division really did some brilliant work when they were developing this unit and we get to see the results now.
The 3-liter inline 6-cylinder mill uses two Mitsubishi turbochargers to get 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque out. Those numbers might not seem all that impressive at first but drive an M4 and you’ll soon swallow your words.

We had the chance to test drive the new M4 and were really blown away with its performance, we can tell you that. The torque is unbelievable for a car this small and light and will light up the rear tires in a jiffy.

That’s not enough for some people though and various tuners are taking things a step further. Introducing Noelle Motors, a German tuner based in Buchloe. They created a little monster that can rival the M5 in terms of power. Yes, you read that right, an M5.

In case you didn’t already know, the S63Tü 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 makes 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, numbers that are enough to transform the 1.8 ton car into a land missile. Imagine that power on the M4 that’s 300 kg (661 lbs) lighter.

Three kits should be enough

According to Noelle Motors, they have three kits for the F82, with power outputs that vary by small margins. The Stage 1 kit brings 517 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) and removes the top speed limiter, allowing the car to venture above the 300 km/h (186 mph) barrier.

Stage 2 gets the rating up to 540 HP and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque but requires some add-on parts like a new set of sport catalysts to let the fumes pass through more easily.

Last, but definitely not least, there’s the Stage 3 kit that takes you ride up to 560 HP and 670 Nm (494 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a new exhaust from top to bottom. Top speed? 325 km/h (202 mph).

Noelle Motors also claims that they have developed a new sports rear-axle differential with a lower gear ratio that is supposed to improve the acceleration figures and pulling power.

The price? Well, we only know that the Stage 1 kit starts at €4,980 and will offer warranty as well but we contacted Noelle Motors and we’ll give you a price for the others as well as soon as they respond.
