I’m not sure if you can build a proper garage for your bike for under $500, but at least you can buy an inflatable one from these guys. CarCapsule has been on the market for quite some time, but if you didn’t know, they also make the BikeCapsule, which seems suitable to keep your motorcycle in when the weather is bad.
CarCapsule is happy to announce that it was selected as one of the Top Ten New Products of the 2016 American International Expo (AIMExpo). The company currently offers motorcycle enthusiasts indoor and outdoor versions of the BikeCapsule as well as the BikeShowcase counterpart.
The BikeCapsule is nothing but an inflatable bubble that will completely seal your machine from the environment. It is kept inflated by a high-pressure 190 CFM fan that also provides continuous airflow to keep the bike inside cool and dry.
The air inside the bubble is said to be exchanged with filtered air from the outside 3 to 4 times every hour, keeping the temperature inside consistent while eliminating any moisture from condensing inside.
Seems an interesting thing to have around the house if you don’t own a garage. But I don’t think it would work in the winter. If the manufacturer could only find a way to also heat the inside of the bubble, it would be perfect. Still, it comes in two sizes, priced at $429 and $500.
The same company also offer the Bike ShowCase, another storage shelter which is designed around the same inflating technology but made in a rectangular shape to look like a standard showcase.
However, instead of blowing air into the whole interior environment, the transparent side panels are held by heavy-duty PCV inflatable air columns that are said to support over 70 lb. It also comes with a zip to close and seal the vehicle inside not to get any dust while it’s on display.
