If you were fretting and making plans to be among the first guys to go check out the Ninja H2 and H2R at your local Kawasaki dealer, you can already change your plans, because it’s not going to happen. As we reported earlier, a discussion we had at EICMA 2014 with a Kawasaki official revealed that the number of the bikes Akashi plans to build is extremely limited. This will determine the fact that no Ninja H2 or H2R machine will be sent to any dealer, with the orders being taken, bikes delivered, and that’s about all there is to this deal.
It may sound a bit steep, but it seems like Kawasaki is asking their customers to have full, undented confidence in the factory’s capabilities. This means that the guys who have gotten close to the Ninja H2 and H2R at motorcycle shows are really lucky, even though most of them are not going to get such a machine.
The new Ninja will only be built on demand, so we are going to deal with a waiting list. Even more, since the H2 paint involves working with pure silver for a perfect mirror finish, it’s easy to figure out that Kawasaki is not exactly willing to wither rush things or have too many people sitting on one of these bikes.
Canadian sources mention that the first orders are to be placed between the 4th and the 18th of December, and anything which is ordered past that date will be placed on a priority waiting list. No delivery time was given, but, the first bikes are expected to be delivered in (late) spring next year.
Until then, it looks like the only places you will be able to see the Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2R are the online environment and motorcycle shows. We’re positive that Kawasaki will try to be present in all the events prior to the shipping debut, letting as many people as possible how cool the new Ninjas are.
Anyway, there was no sitting on them at EICMA 2014, either, so in this respect, the girls Kawasaki had on the Ninjas already know more than us on how the bikes feel.

A 20% deposit for a 2015 supercharged Ninja
You can pre-order a Ninja H2 or H2R by reaching out to your Kawasaki dealer and placing a deposit with the minimum value of a fifth of the bike’s price.
