Nissan has unveiled the GT-R Nismo GT500, a race car developed to compete in next year's GT500 class of the Japanese Super GT Series.
Designed to comply with the competition's new regulations, which will be similar to those applied to the German Touring Car Championship (DTM), the GT-R Nismo GT500 will be showcased at te Round 5 of the Super GT Series at Suzuka this weekend.
In addition, the track-ready vehicle will also be displayed and raced at the Nismo Festival, on December 1, at the Fuji Speedway in Japan. Further details about the new Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500, including participating teams in 2014 Super GT Series, will be announced at a later date.
In related news, Nissan's new race car will be battling Honda's NSX Concept-GT and Lexus' LF-CC-based vehicle, both of which were revealed earlier this week, in the 2014 Super GT Series.
