The the Japanese automakers Nissan and Mitsubishi are constantly expanding the scope of their initial agreement signed in December of last year. As a result, the Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV you see in the picture above will also be sold under the Nissan badge, but only in the Japanese market.
The MiEV Minicab is motivated by the same electric powertrain as the i-MiEV hatch, which means just over 60 horsepower and a range of either 62 or 93 miles per charge, depending on the model. Prices of the Nissan version are expected to stay in the region of JPY2 million or about $26,000 at today’s exchange rate after you take the government subsidies into account.
