Japanese automaker Nissan is set to reintroduce the Terrano moniker for a Dacia Duster-based SUV. Scheduled to be marketed only in India, the new Terrano is rumored to be more expensive than the Duster.
Part of an agreement within the Renault-Nissan alliance, the new Terrano will gain distinctive exterior styling cues, while it will remain almost identical to the Dacia Duster on the inside. Acording to Autocar India, the new vehicle is scheduled to arrive later this year.

The Nissan Terrano was introduced back in 1993 as a mid-size SUV and was discontinued in 2006. The Nissan Juke was conceived four years later as a successor for the Terrano.

In other related news, Dacia is preparing a facelift for its affordable and capable off-road vehicle. The updated Duster is expected to debut at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show.
