Japanese automaker Nissan has released the first teaser video for its 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans race car. Set to be fully unveiled on June 21, the new LMP1 vehicle will mark the company’s LMP1 category Le Mans comeback.
While no details have been revealed, we do know that the LMP1 class racer will be either a hybrid or an all-electric vehicle. Back in February, Nissan said their 2014 Hours of Le Mans entry will be “focused on innovation and excitement”, so we’ll just have to wait a week longer to see what the Japanese have in stock.

Speaking of the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Porsche is also working on a comeback car, which was spotted testing on the German manufacturer’s Weissach track. Developed in-house as a hybrid, the yet unnamed Porsche will be entered in the same LMP1 class.

The 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans race is scheduled to start on 22 June. Until then, scroll down to watch Nissan’s teaser.
