We've all played with toy cars in our childhood, and some still do, but how many of us have imagined them drifting? "Many, if not all" would probably be a good answer to that question, and yet we're here to look at this playful activity from a perspective that goes way beyond imagination.
By the power of the video below, we can now show you what a toy car drift battle looks like in the real world, complete with added smoke effects.

The two rides engaged in the fight are an R34-generation Nissan Skyline GT-R and a 1970 Ford Escort RS1600. We know what you're thinking - this is a setup that seems to be borrowed straight from Fast And Furious series.

Well, you're not that far from the truth, since we're dealing with a commercial manifestation here. The clip has been put together to serve as a promotional effort for a smartphone drifting game that's just been released.

Dubbed Thumb Drift, the app reduces the complex ways of the slip angle world to one-finger action. Come to think of it, once you've gained enough skills and have a proper machine around you, drifting with one finger is possible.

For now, the game is offered for iOS users, but an Android version is scheduled to land on March 3. Among others, this game allows you to drift a tank. It's not like soldiers haven't attempted this. The graphics do seem kind of basic, though, at least judging by the preview offered in the clip.

Returning to the toy battle we have here, this takes place in the kitchen. With yours truly having once emptied half a bottle of cooking oil on the kitchen table in order to create the ideal drifting setup for a LEGO set, the scene seems more than reasonable.

Then there's the soundtrack, which comes with all the effects you'd expect children to generate when engaging in such activities.
