Nissan Shows LEAF at Eco-Products 2010

Nissan will participate in Japan's largest exhibition of environmentally-friendly products and services, Eco-Products 2010. This year's exhibition is themed "Green x Clean Revolution! Expand the power to connect lives to the world," in an effort to raise awareness to the issues of resource depletion and biodiversity conservation.

The event is hosted by the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry and Nikkei Inc. and will take place from December 9 through 11, 2010, at the Tokyo Big Sight.

The Japanese manufacturer will showcase its most innovative technologies, which represent Nissan's commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, and will promote a sustainable mobility society. The spotlight in the automaker's booth will be on Nissan's complete clean mobility solution, the all-electric, zero-emission Nissan LEAF. Visitors will also be able to test-drive the world's first mass-marketed and affordable EV before it hits the market in December 20.

Nissan will present its vision of a zero-emission mobility society via a 'Smart House' that features a next-generation electricity management system installed, the Nissan LEAF and EV batteries, as well as a three-dimensional scale model of a future city with EVs and a cut model of the LEAF, displaying the internal mechanisms of the car.

Green technologies, such as the Idling Stop system for the new March and a cut model of the new Fuga's hybrid system, will be presented through various displays and panels. In addition, the Eco-drive Navigator function installed in the new Serena will be available for testing by visitors.
