Nissan Sales Going Down in November

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) recently reported their sales figures for November and, unsurprisingly, it turns out that the Japanese manufacturer is down by 42.2% as opposed to the same period last year (46,605 units this year compared to 80,683 last year).

It gets worse when you realize that sales of Nissan Division vehicles decreased by 44.4%, while Infinity sales decreased by 28.0%.

There are highlights in Nissans activities such as the coronation of the GT-R super car as the 2009 Motor Trend Car of the Year and 2009 Automobile Magazine Automobile of the Year and the release of the new Versa 1.6 Sedan.

So is the next-generation 2009 370Z sports car, scheduled to hit showrooms in early 2009, and bound to represent a new step forward in coupe design and technology for the car manufacturer.

Although they reported low sales, Infinity hasn't been laying low either. They recently unveiled the 2009 G Convertible, scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2009.

To ensure the consistency of their global sales, Nissan North America calculate the monthly variances relying only on percentages and days. For example November 2007 and 2008 had exactly the same selling days: 25.
