Nissan's TeRRA Electric SUV Gets a Promo

In a not too distant future, we might all be driving around in electric vehicles. If that happens, even the SUVs, from the smallest to the largest full-size ones, will have to come with a socket or a cable. Can you imagine that?
Nissan doesn’t have to imagine, because they’re Japanese, and out of their creativity, a compact SUV with zero emissions. It looks like the love child of a Nissan Leaf EV and the Juke crossover.

It’s got the same sort of exaggerated fog light and elongated but small headlights, to give it a muscular look, lie a pitbull. Step inside and you’ll find two sculpted front seats plus two extra ones in the back, accessed through suicide doors.

“The Nissan TeRRA SUV concept, to be unveiled on Sep 27th at the Paris Motor Show, combines two outstanding Nissan strengths - SUVs and EVs - in a vehicle that is equally in its element off-road in the wild or gliding silently through a sophisticated urban setting,” Nissan says.

If there really is demand for such a vehicle, than Nissan has the knowhow to build it. But since the Leaf isn’t exactly a booming success, they might hold off on that.

autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
