The Qashqai will go on sale across Europe soon after the first unveiling at the Geneva show, with the United Kingdom to be one of the first markets to receive it. Judging by the rumors, the Qashqai will come with a price tag of £15,395 ($25,300) for the base version and will go up to £16,695 ($27,500) for the seven-seater Qashqai +2.
The engine lineup will be almost similar to the one available on the current Qashqai, with a single exception: the addition of a new 1.5-liter dCi engine, available exclusively on the Pure Drive version. Nissan will offer ESP as standard across the entire range to meet European regulations, but the Acenta configuration also comes with a Speed Limiter.
As for the other engine versions, the current Qashqai series is offered with a total of four engine configurations, two diesels and two petrols. The top-of-the-range unit is the 2.0-liter dCi that develops a maximum output of 150 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. It propels the Qashqai from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and helps it achieve a top speed of 119 mph (192 km/h). Fuel consumption is 27.3 mpg (8.6 L/100Km) city and 42.8 mpg (5.5 L/100Km) highway.
