Nissan Offers Free Loan Cars to Ease Wait for Jukes

With a bold exterior appearance, a funny name and a very attractive starting price of £12,795 for the entry level 1.6 liter petrol with front-wheel drive, it’s no wonder that the new crossover model is proving extremely popular in the British market. However, this has created a bottleneck in supply, as there is now a three month waiting list.

So in order to keep its customers satisfied and to make the wait a little more bearable, the carmaker will be offering a free loan car for buyers facing a delivery lead time of more than three months to tide them over until their new Nissan arrives.

“Juke and Qashqai models are in huge demand at the moment and it became apparent that the long lead times were inconveniencing some customers. To demonstrate our customer commitment we have developed this new, industry-leading scheme,” explains Paul Willcox, managing director of Nissan Motor UK.

Thus, if you are waiting for a new Juke, expect to make due with a Micra. Meanwhile, Qashqai and Qashqai+2 buyers will be offered the use of a not so pretty but certainly roomy Note, completely free of charge. Any client who has already placed an order will also be eligible to request a loan car through their supplying dealer.

“Extended waiting times are a reflection of the popularity of Nissan’s crossover products across Europe, but some customers need to replace their current car and simply cannot wait three months. This scheme helps to smooth out this transitional waiting period by enabling customers to trade in or return their current car immediately and take a free loan car until their new Nissan arrives,” Willcox added.
