Between designing and launching new vehicles, Nissan has been extremely busy in the last few years, but now it looks like it’s taking a quick break to let its hair down a little. It all started with a fun design challenge to its followers on social media called #NISMOMashup where users could make their own creation by mixing a regular Nissan product with one of its current NISMO products.
Now, if we had to guess, we’re pretty sure something similar to this was how the Juke R was born, but we don’t expect to see any of these crazy creations out on the road anytime soon… or ever. Instead, they’re just a way for Nissan to get a little extra attention for its ever-expanding NISMO lineup, which now includes the GT-R, 370Z, Juke and Sentra.

Of the three mashups, the combination of a GT-R NISMO and Nissan Maxima might be the most intriguing. As Dodge prepares to introduce the most powerful sedan ever with the Charger SRT Hellcat, a four-door GT-R would almost certainly crush the record for a sedan lap time around the Nürburgring. While we might never get this car, it sounds like Nissan does plan on making a production version of the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge.

Then there’s the wackiest of the bunch with a mashup of a Juke NISMO and Nissan Xterra. Combining the crazy lines of the Juke NISMO with the boxy lines of the Xterra actually results in a vehicle that we can’t stop looking at, but we can’t figure out if it’s good looking or a train wreck. Probably the latter. Finally, there’s a 370Z NISMO and Nissan Sentra mashup. This looks like something that could have been a failed design study for the 370Z, although that isn't meant to be a compliment.

And just so you don’t get your hopes up, the mashups all come with the following disclaimer: “All illustrations, designs and specifications are based on concept vehicle envisioned by fans. This vehicle does not exist. See an actual production vehicle at your Nissan Dealer.”
