Nissan Navara Pickup Tows a Tank

Toyota might be getting ready to pull the space shuttle with a pickup, but Nissan Australia wants to show the world that its rugged Navara can handle the touch jobs as well.
In a recent ad from Australia, the ute comes in four-door configuration to rescue a stranded army tank. The monster in question is the Centurion, a machine that’s been in service since the Second World War.

It served with the Royal Australian Armed Corps in Vietnam, and given its long service life the machine has stalled. The 550 Nm that the Navara’s 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 makes is enough to kick-start the Centurion back into life, even though it weighs 50 tons.

We don’t know if this really can be done, but the ute-man’s carefree attitude makes this a priceless commercial.
