Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet Voted Most Disliked Car of 2011

The Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet, or should we say the chopped Murano had managed to climb on the number one position of the unwanted cars list. The facts were revealed by US auto reviewers who highlighted that the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was rated as the “Most Disliked 2011 Car.” This was not the only model being rated so badly, taking into account that the Pontiac Aztek was not far away in therms of likes.

But the Murano Cabriolet managed to gain an overall verdict which seems like a death penalty in some people opinion. The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was tagged as the first convertible crossover. It appeals more to female drivers due to its high seating position and carrying capacity. Thus, the cabriolet crossover was described by Susan Carpenter in the Los Angeles Times as "a spirited-yet-cushy mom mobile for those who value adventure and luxury."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the camp the man drivers are less enthusiastic. As a matter of fact, the Pulitzer Prize winner Dan Neil described the car as "Sluggish, wobbly, weird-looking, with a front-end shake that would mix a good daiquiri, crazy-awful ... CrossCabriolet is like a sorbet of mouse cat. When this thing hits a pothole, it shakes its jowls like Curly from the Three Stooges -- wubba-wubba-wubba," as related by CNNMoney.

Still opinions are divided, some say that it is easier to have a critical attitude on the car, without having a personal connection with it, since the car is manufactured overseas. Worth mentioning that Nissan had a lot of courage entering this segment which was practically unexploited. Still, the CrosssCabriolet remains the most disliked car of 2011.
