The Nissan Micra is no Ford Fiesta when it comes to handling. Small, soft and not equipped with powerful engines, it's among the least inspiring city-sized cars out there. That's not the case in Japan though.
Say "hello" to the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) March Nismo S - same car as the one sold in Europe, but with a totally nifty body kit.
It's been designed by the same people at Nismo who make your GT-Rs, so it's bot a pleasantly aggressive red stripe going around the car, as well as big exhaust, big wheels and flared bumpers. The paint is not white, but pearl, with accents done in black and red.
The same attention to detail is seen inside, where the seats have bigger bolsters, the steering wheel is covered in leather and a sports speedo that goes up to 220 km/h has been installed.
Unfortunetely, you can never drive that fast in Japan, so the engine doesn't have to be as hot as the bodywork. This March Nismo S is equipped with a 1.2-liter engine which comes with Xtronic CVT option
This little Japanese hatchback has had a pretty hard life though, being tossed from one end of its segment to another. The previous generation was built only in Sunderland, England, but Nissan decided it was too expensive and switched production to India.
So should Nissan bring this hot Micra Nismo to Europe as well? Or is it too crazy and expensive for the land of the Fiesta, the Polo and the Clio.
