It goes without saying that drivers need to adapt their speed to any given type of road conditions, but sometimes it would have been better to just leave the car at home. This is just one of those cases, and this driver from the US or Canada comes out of a side street, onto a bigger street which is completely covered in ice, and it gleams in the light.
His car, an older Nissan Maxima goes almost dead-straight, and regardless of the driver trying to brake or accelerate (the latter reveals that the Maxima had a very loud exhaust system fitted), he already knew that he was going to hit the pole, which he did seconds later.
To add insult to injury, he also gets rear ended by a Saturn driver, whom he was trying to avoid and got into this situation in the first place. At least he finishes off the video in a nice Hollywood movie kind of way, by lighting up a cigarette, in the very next second after the crash.
