Nissan has given the final green light to the styling of its upcoming black cab for London, which means that the vehicle is now approaching its official presentation.
Nissan has previously presented a version of the taxi based on the NV200 light commercial vehicle, which also serves as a base for the company's New York taxi - you can see this pictured above.

However, the new London Cab will have an appearance that's more dedicated to its purpose, rather than the conversion look of the aforementioned model.

Nissan has developed the vehicle together with current taxi operators, in order to make sure that it meets the city's demands.

London's new black cab will arrive with a diesel engine. However, it is also scheduled to receive an electric powertrain. The move will not also bring cleaner transportation to the city, but will also help popularize electric vehicles.
