Nissan Leaf Aero Style Concept Unveiled

Announced as a major presence at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011, which takes place in the middle of January, the Nissan Leaf Aero Style Concept shed its cloak today, presenting the world with perhaps the best looking EV to date.

The concept, built by Nissan as a tribute to Japan's most important after market specialists' event of the year, comes with a clean, well-suited body kit. The modifications brought to the base model includes the addition of a new front bumper which wraps around the front end of the car, extended side skirts, in tone with the bumper, restyled mirrors and matching wheels.

The modifications don't stop here, as the Leaf also received LED daytime driving, integrated below the middle line of the front bumper. Of course, there are no tweaks made to the drive train of the model, even if Nissan is calling it “the image of futuristic sport EV driving.”

The Leaf Aero Style Concept is the first tuning kit for the Leaf created by Nissan. The model, wearing the street clothes we are used to, has already begun shipping to various markets around the world.

Nissan doesn't plan to attend the Tokyo Auto Salon, but use the event to impress the crowds. The carmaker announced no less than nine premieres for the show. Alongside the Leaf, the center stage of the Nissan booth will belong to the Juke Sporty Package (chrome parts and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels), NISMO GT-R RC, NISMO Version Fairlady Z, Elgrand S-tune, MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, Elgrand Rider Premium Concept, Serena Rider and March Bolero.
