Nissan Juke Residual Values Announced

The British division of Nissan announced today residual values for its Juke crossover, which place the model among the best in its class, higher than the MINI hatchback and pairing with those of the MINI Countryman. Specifically, data provided by CAP show the Juke RVs range from 52% to 54% based on three years/60,000 miles of ownership.

Juke insurance ratings start at Group 11E for the 1.6-litre 117 bhp petrol in Visia trim. Acenta and Tekna versions with the same engine are both rated Group 12E. For cars with the more powerful 190 bhp engine, the rating is Group 21E except for the 4WD model which is Group 20E.

All Jukes powered by the 1.5-litre dCi 110bhp diesel are Group 13E, except for the entry level Visia which is Group 12E.

“We have worked hard to ensure that Juke ownership is hassle-free, and that includes the retained value of the car.  Potential customers who love the Juke’s style can now buy with confidence,” Tony Lewis, Nissan’s corporate sales director said in a statement for the press.

Production of the new Juke crossover has been launched in late August at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant in the UK, with the model to go on sale across Europe starting next month. Already believed to be a very successful model, the Juke has so far received more than 30,000 pre-orders across Europe since the order books opened in June.

Based on this, Sunderland expects to produce up to 100,000 units each year making it the plant’s second highest volume model behind the Qashqai.

In the UK, the Nissan Juke starts at GBP 12,795 (EUR15,100) for the Visia model powered by the naturally aspirated petrol engine.
