We happily announced last week that the bonkers Nissan Juke-R was going into limited production. The 545hp crossover will priced around €450,000 ($590,000) as Nissan finally gives in to public pressure to build the Juke-R, after quite a few people offered to buy the original concept.
According to Inside Line, Nissan Americas Vice President David P. Reuter said: "We will make Juke-R available to customers anywhere in the world on a build-to-order basis. It is intended for serious collectors and investors who want to own a true original, an innovative project that will only be created in extremely small numbers."
The first cars to have been ordered are due to be delivered to customers late this summer. Nissan is expecting to make no more than 20-25 Juke-Rs, though we have a hunch that many more people around the world have the money and desire to buy one, so we’ll have to see if Nissan builds a lot more of them than they intended in the first place.
