As you may have noticed, all the automakers have found that sports are an incredibly useful way to promote their models. Some chose baseball, others are in football, and Nissan is into soccer. They have recently announced an extension into all global territories for the next three seasons of the UEFA Champions League. The Japanese automakers are also throwing in some prizes with it.
The announcement of the deal came ahead of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage draw and involves several marketing schemes that include TV broadcast sponsorships around live UEFA Champions League matches taking place across a further 40-plus countries including Brazil, China, Japan and the U.S. from this season.

For those who are into soccer (which stands for football for everybody else) we’ll go straight to the tickets prize part first, considering it must be quite appealing. Here’s Nissan’s explanation:

“In conjunction with the UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw on August 27, Nissan will be offering two passes to a lucky fan to watch their favorite team in every UEFA Champions League fixture this season. The #ChampionsKey social media activity will launch with a new video featuring the Nissan GT-R and invite people to enter by tweeting the hashtag.

Don’t you worry about the date, though, as far as we know it’s an ongoing process, considering you need to get 6,000 retweets actually to win the prize. Nissan also released a clip with a GTR, which was filled with mini-footballs for some reason.

Other than that, the new partnership also includes a program the company is running and through which they will offer over 1.300 children across Europe territories the chance to get even closer to the action and their soccer heroes. Apparently, they managed to get the exclusive rights to offer fans the opportunity to be a Center Circle Carrier.

“This money-can't-buy experience will see them become part of the opening ceremony, carrying the iconic UEFA Champions League emblem onto center of the pitch ahead of each match in front of a worldwide TV audience of millions.” For further information, feel free to check out the adjacent release.
