Suzuki takes revenge on the infamous GTR, though it had to be a liter Gixxer to show these guys how the game is played.
As far as we can tell, the GSX-1000R received a premium Yoshimura exhaust, and a stretch job with a longer swingarm to withstand the crazy thrust on the highway. With a bit of lowering, too, the Gixxer looks like one of the ultimate street weapons... and judging by the flawless ride against the GTR, it really is a menacing acceleration demon.
On the other hand we've got a 600 HP GTR, but it just wasn't Nissan's day. It also looks like the Gixxer rider upshifts without using the clutch, thus managing to save a lot of time and keeping a very good pace accelerating. Now, most bikes can do this, as there is a split second of free movement as the throttle is backed down a bit, but being able to do this flawlessly in racing conditions requires top-level skills. Eat this, GTR (for now).
