Nissan GT-R vs. Lamborghini Huracan Performante Drag Race Is a Bummer

Under normal circumstances, such a scenario should only bring joy. However, there are also exceptions and we're here to bring you just that.

That adventure we have here involves a Huracan Performante that took part in a sprinting event held on an airfield, with the Raging Bull facing all sorts of opponents.

The lists of machines that decided to test their sprinting skills against the 640 horsepower Italian ranges from the 400 hp Audi RS3 Sedan to a Nissan GT-R that could deliver north of 600 ponies - we're talking about a modded example (notice the faux GT-R Nismo body pieces).

Alas, it seems that none of the drivers that faced the Huracan Performante managed to deliver a decent launch. As such, the guy behind the wheel of the Lamborghini was always leaping ahead.

Sure, we all have to start somewhere when it comes to manhandling cars, but perhaps it's better to practice launching one's machine before entering a competition.

Going past the sleepy episodes mentioned above, you might want to know what the Lamborghini Huracan Performante and the Nissan GT-R are capable of in terms of the quarter-mile sprint.

Well, the best a Godzilla can do is an 11s flat run. And while the Huracan Performante is considerably better, being able to deliver low-10s runs, there's one thing that might leave owners seeking more performance.

You see, despite the Performante packing 30 extra ponies and being lighter, we haven't been able to notice a significant 1.320 feet sprint improvement compared to the non-Performante model.

And while some might blame the extra downforce of the P version, we'll remind you this comes with active aerodynamics.
