A press statement from the organizers of the Los Angeles Auto Shows offers us a few tasty morsels about upcoming global debut taking place at this important venue of the 2013 motor show calendar.
The statement reads "world debuts include the NISMO JUKE RS and a NISMO Concept vehicle from Nissan". Now, you'll forgive me for this pure act of speculation, but the GT-R has been confirmed as the fourth Nismo model, coming in 2014.
Unless they launch another watch, the hot new GT-R is likely to show up as a concept, showing us crisp paint combinations, body kit components and trick alloy wheels.
A few days ago, Nissan closed down the famous Nurburgring for a record-setting attempt, which suggests progress is being made with development of the car.
"The Nissan GT-R NISMO is the GT-R with which we pursue pure performance," says Hiroshi Tamura, Nissan GT-R and NISMO chief product specialist. "It is for people who search for true performance with pure motorsports flavor. Its development is on schedule, and I can’t wait to see the model introduced into the markets."
We'll just have to wait until November to see if my guess in the dark was right. Let's just hope it looks as cool as the Juke.
