Japanese automaker Nissan has announced the introduction of yet another special edition for its highly-acclaimed GT-R supercar.
Dubbed Midnight Opal, the new vehicle sports a new “Midnight Opal” exterior color and several features “that have proved immensely popular with past GT-R customers”. Limited to only 100 units, the Midnight Opal GT-R will come with a dry carbon fiber rear spoiler and forged aluminum wheels with a hyper-titanium coating.
The vehicle will also receive a gold model number plate in the engine compartment to “emphasize the GT-R Special Edition's exclusivity”. Nissan claims the new Midnight Opal paint is applied by hand and that the body color changes depending on light conditions and viewing angle.
No changes have been made under the hood, which means the Midnight Opal GT-R delivers 545 HP and 463 lb-ft of torque just like any other 2014 Nissan GT-R. Pricing info has yet to be revealed.
