It’s really amazing what custom car shops with open-minded employees can do these days. For example, we’ve been following a Korean company called xLED that has created custom lights for just about every car imaginable. In fact, LED tuning seems to be one of the most popular form of customization in Korea. But this next project comes from Japan, where Rowen International has updated the mighty Godzilla with a bit of modern day sparkle.
That’s right, the aging Japanese supercar has received LED headlights, bringing it in line with rivals from Germany that have been offering this option for quite some time. There won’t be a new R36 GT-R for at least another 3 years, so projects like this are required to bring the R35 up to date.

130 individual LEDs and 4 larger strips of LED lights have been used to refresh the trademark 4 round clusters at the back of the GT-R. The brake lights ate up 33 LEDs, blinkers added another 16 and 2 strips were used for the bar in the wing. Our hat comes off for their excellent sense of style, which has changed the uber-Nissan without compromising its identity.

As you may have already noticed, the GT-R is also wearing a full-on carbon body kit, which includes a larger rear diffuser and a completely revised front end design. A Heatblue titanium exhaust system and candy red concave wheels from Prodrive complete the fresh look of this show-stopper.
