It’s a pickup frenzy these days, with just about every manufacturer that operates in the business eager to expand their portfolio or add content for extra appeal. Today, Nissan has introduced new appearance packages for the 2012 Frontier and Titan.

Starting with the Frontier, the compact pickup will now come with a Sport Appearance Package on King Cab and Crew Cab SV versions.

This adds 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, as well as a front grille with a Dark Hyper Silver, body-color front and rear bumpers and the Frontier graphic on the vehicle side and bead. Inside, you get a lot of extra kit, including a set of cloth sport seats, white-faced instrument gauges and a Bluetooth hands-free system.

Next up is the full-size Titan, which also adds a Sport Appearance Package for the 2012 model year. This brings a set o 20-inch wheels, the same finish on the grille, body colored bumpers as standard and a set of black step riders. New graphics for the side are also part of the deal, and inside you get the same bits and pieces as the Frontier, plus some Titan logos here and there.

Prices start at $1,190 for the Sport Appearance Package on the Frontier and $2,490 for the garb on the Titan. We like the overall look, and think the dark finish and extra kit is well worth the extra price if you want to stand out.
