It looks like Nissan is putting fun first and family second if we are to judge by their latest e-NV200 version releases. We're telling you this because after the electric van was turned into a mobile disco, Nissan just offered a seven-seat variant for the UK.
From where we are standing, we could easily say this particular Nissan e-NV200 is the world's first seven-seat MPV. And to properly mark that, Nissan added a new range-topping Evalia trim to the equation.
The main reason for that, according to Nissan officials, is the high demand for such a car, especially from private hire companies and shuttle services in particular. Therefore, Nissan listened, took notes and came up with a seven-seat variant for the MPV that uses the same electric technology as the Nissan Leaf.
But the e-NV200 is also about space and practicality. Nissan tells us that with With the second row of seats rolled forward and folded and the sixth and seventh seats folded to the side, customers can benefit from a 2.94 cubic metre (2,940 litres) load space. That's enough for three full-size bicycles with the wheels in place.
With all three rows in place, the cargo area offers 870-litre load capacity. As you probably know by now, the e-NV200 provides a maximum range of 106 miles (170 km) on a single charge, while the battery can be replenished from zero to 80 percent full in roughly 30 minutes.
Prices start at £19,895 ($30,403, at current exchange rates) with the Government Plug-In Car Grant for those choosing the Nissan Flex battery leasing option, and from £23,400 ($35,759, at current exchange rates) for those purchasing the battery as well.
