When it comes to Nissan’s Leaf model, sales have been going pretty well globally. The company actually managed to reach an impressive milestone as it delivered the 100,000th electric car in the UK.
This is quite the achievement and in order to celebrate it, the guys from Nissan decided to create a unique version of the adored Nissan Leaf. This one-of-a-kind model was designed with 100,000 special extra optional extras, each representing a car that was sold. The vehicle was decorated in 50,000 two pence Sterling coins from UK and 50,000 two cent Euro coins from Europe, showing how cost efficient is Nissan's Leaf.

The idea is really interesting, the whole thing taking seven days to complete and a special team of three people. The three layers of coins highlighted the word “Leaf” and at the same time added 504 kg to the overall weight of the car.

Those that were interested in the unique vehicle had the chance to see it at Martins in Winchester, as the artwork has been on display there. When it comes to the next 100,000 sales, Guillaume Cartier Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Nissan Europe is confident that they will come even quicker as the car has been so praised.
