The American division of Japanese manufacturer Nissan announced today the pricing for the 2011 cube model, which will be launched in three trim levels. The entry level Cube, the 1.8, will be selling starting from $14,290.
Nissan will offer the Cube in the aforementioned 1.8 version, as well as in 1.8 S (priced at $15,650) and 1.8 SL (priced at $17,750). All are powered by an 1.8l DOHC 4 cylinder engine which develops 122 horsepower. The engine can be paired to either a manual, or an automatic transmission.
For the 2011 model year, the combined fuel economy rating for the models equipped with a CVT transmission is 29 mpg, a mild increase from the previous 28 mpg.
The Cube comes equipped with a comprehensive array of features, which include Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, Bluetooth, XM Satellite Radio , RearView Monitor and interface system for iPod. Its boxlike appearance hides 58 cubic feet of cargo room, which can be packed, along with the interior of the model, with no less than 40 accessories offered by Nissan.
Aside for the regular versions of the Cube, Nissan is also offering a Krom Edition, which will retail for $21,190. This special Cube brings a touch of extra, being equipped with upper and lower front grilles, fully integrated front and rear bumper fascias and body side sills, rear roof spoiler, and 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
At the interior, the Krom brings black and gray seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum-trimmed pedals, Bluetooth, upgraded audio system with Rockford Fosgate powered subwoofer, XM Satellite Radio, RearView Monitor and navigation system with 5-inch color touch screen display.
