Nissan Becomes the British Superbike Championship's Official Vehicle Supplier

Nissan’s UK arm, the country’s largest car producer, has become the official vehicle supplier of the British Superbike Championship (BSB).

The new agreement will see Nissan deliver a fleet of 12 vehicles to the series’ 2010 and 2011 seasons. Two all wheel drive 485 HP GT-Rs will become the BSB safety cars, pastoring the 200 hp superbikes. Two Qashqai+2 seven seater SUVs will serve as medical cars, while a 332 Hp 370 Z and a 3.5 liter Murano SUV will become course cars. The two course vehicles will provide mobility for the race director and other officials while a Navara pick-up will serve as a parade vehicle for winners. The logistics of the BSB will be provided by NV 200 and Interstar vans.

"Nissan are delighted to be associated with the UK's premier motorsport series. The BSB Championship's choice of Nissan demonstrates the suitability of the Nissan product range to any situation. Nissan GT-R will be a fantastic safety car, with its outstanding performance and technology.” said Tony Lewis, Nissan Motor GB Corporate Sales Director.

"We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Nissan, particularly given their position as the largest producer of vehicles in the UK.  The BSB vehicle fleet covers the critical role of safety cars requiring reliability and high performance through to the capability of hauling our extensive amount of equipment around the country.  All of the vehicles are highly suited to their roles and will be a prominent feature of each event." said Stuart Higgs, the BSB Series Director.
