Nissan is well aware of the fact that the styling of the new Micra has been criticized in Europe and the carmaker is planning to introduce a design revolution for the next generation of the car. The man responsible with the styling of the Micra, Shiro Nakamura, told autocar that the carmaker is ready to bring out the emotional side of the Micra with the next generation.

The designer points at the Juke and the Qashqai as indicators for Nissan’s future design direction and explains that the carmaker’s vehicles will have “ a more consistent look” in the future. Nissan is basically trying to establish an identity for its vehicles and the fact that it's got such a diverse range is a challenge, but the company promises that we'll be pleased with the results.
