Scion is a carmaker that targets young buyers, offering vehicles with a dynamic image. But what else do youngsters do, besides cruising? Well, they game a lot, with the console virus becoming an epidemic.
This could be what Len Higa and Eric Namakura thought about when they design the vehicle you see in the adjacent images. We are talking a about a custom Scion xB that uses a Nintendo theme.
Actually the vehicle comes with a retro gaming flavour, as it is finished in the colors of the Famicom. This is a classic gaming tool coming from Japan (Family Computer on its full name) and represent an important step in the history of video games. The car comes dressed in white and red, also using a touch of grey.
The same treatment has been used for the interior, where we can see elements such as a joystick, used as a gear shift lever, an arcade button, which serves as an ignition button and others. The vehicle also comes with a projector in the left headlight and another one at the rear, as well as other goodies.
The Nintendo Scion xB is being displayed at the Zen Garage exhibition in Los Angeles. If you want to find out more about the vehicle but don’t really want to travel to L.A. for that, you can check out the video bellow. The clip, which was uploaded by Giant Robot Magazine, shows Namakura presenting the features of his creation.
