The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is almost upon us. For the sixth generation of the popular pony/muscle car, the golden bowtie manufacturer is preparing something that’ll give the S550 Mustang and Dodge Challenger a run for their money.
It pains us to hear it time and time again, but not all Camaro enthusiasts dig the updated styling.

A passenger vehicle’s aesthetics is a subjective matter, and whichever reasoning you employ to convince your buddy that the 2016 Camaro is wicked, chances are he won’t list his fifth-gen SS on Craigslist just yet. But what if he is in the market for a better-than-SS ‘Maro?

That’s where this Nickey Camaro Stage II comes on the scene.

Now known as Nickey Performance, most gearheads that know their American muscle are aware that Nickey Chevrolet of Chicago was once dubbed the “original super car headquarters.” After all, Nickey was the first outfit to fit a 427 big-block V8 under the hood of a Camaro in 1967. Make no bones about it - a Nickey Chevrolet Camaro is, more or less, the ultimate example of the muscly breed.

Estimated by Mecum's experts to fetch up to $80,000 at auction, the adjacent Nickey ‘Maro is a 2015 model year wearing white stripes over Bright Red paint. Registry serialized and certified, the car on hand is featured in the Supercar Registry and is fitted with a 6.2L small-block V8 mated to a 6-speed manual.

Furthermore, the backwards K-adorned Chevy muscle car hides an exciting bit of kit under that scooped hood. We’re talking about a Magnuson TVS 2300 blower that can be tuned for a total of 800 HP squeezed from the LS3 lump. Last but not least, a 3-inch stainless-steel chambered exhaust is there for added ruckus.
